Marita Liles

Marita grew up in a small town in Minnesota, surrounded by a large and supportive family who instilled in her the values of compassion, hard work, and community. With those values as her foundation, she pursued her passion for helping others at North Dakota State College of Science, where she earned her degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
 

For nearly two years, Marita has been practicing as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, bringing a blend of professional skill, empathy, and creativity to her work. As someone who has obtained fresh information and education through her college experience, she offers the unique advantage of bringing new, evidence-based knowledge and interventions to the table. She recognizes that the field of occupational therapy is continually evolving, and she actively stays current on best practices and innovative therapeutic strategies. 
 

Known for her caring and empathetic nature, Marita takes the time to truly understand her patients’ goals, challenges, and motivations. She believes that strong communication and trust are the foundation of successful therapy, and she strives to create a supportive, encouraging environment where patients feel empowered to reach their highest level of independence. Her creativity shines through in the way she adapts and individualizes interventions, making therapy both effective and engaging. Her dedication ensures that each client receives thoughtful, compassionate care tailored to their unique needs.

Beyond her professional life, Marita enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking and camping with her husband, exploring new treasures while thrifting, and expressing herself through crafting. These interests not only enrich her personal life but also fuel the creativity and problem-solving skills she brings into her therapy sessions.
